Mandarin Class, Simplified Characters (国语/普通话班, 简体字)
Enrollment begins at age 3+, K-12th grade available, 2-hour class using Mandarin and Simplified Chinese Characters
This class uses materials and teachers from mainland China, and focuses on introducing simple stroke and phonics to improve pronunciation and writing abilities at lower levels. Chinese history, geography, and culture will be taught at higher grade levels.
Mandarin is spoken in mainland China, Taiwan, and just about anywhere with a Chinese population. As Mandarin is the official Chinese dialect, it is widely practical. The dialect only has four tones so it is very easy to learn.
Simplified Chinese Characters are officially used in mainland China, and by the majority of the Chinese population in the Bay Area. Learning simplified Chinese characters can be easy, and it is mostly visual memorization of the characters. Mastery of Simplified characters can be quick and practical.
In pre-school and kindergarten levels, classes focus on pin-yin, character recognition and categorization (e.g. season, relationships, health, social concepts, etc.), as well as values such as Chinese festivities and cultural concepts of filial piety and respect. Students will practice stroke orders, pin-yin/pronunciations of words, and be familiarized with songs, poems, and games using Cantonese and Traditional Chinese Characters.
The entire curriculum originates from China and has a strong focus on all aspects of Chinese language learning, including listening, pronouncing, and conversing in Mandarin, as well as reading and writing in Simplified Chinese characters. The curriculum prepares students for the SAT II Chinese subject test.

幼儿园采用幼儿汉语（1-4册），三岁开始学习，以大陆汉语拼音开始教学，从儿歌、认字卡、游戏中教学生笔划、笔顺，认字、识字，培养学生的学习中文的兴趣及了解华人的文化、习俗。
小学至中学采用中国大陆海外版教材（暨南大学华文学院中文简体一至十二册），练习正确笔顺，理解汉字的字、形、义，运用成语，使用句子，系统地训练学生的听、说、读、写及翻译的能力。 为争取中文科SAT II学分作准备
